Mother Of 3 Gets Her College Body Back!

When her husband Pat decided to hire The Body Sculptress for his wife, she had just given birth to their third child, a beautiful baby girl that was named Lily. Pat remembered how much more confidence and vibrance she had before the children arrived, and wanted to help her find that again. After all, she was still a young and very beautiful woman!

Teri McKee is a thirty-something wife and mother of 3 who owns, operates, and enjoys the goodies at "Dairy Queen" restaurants, is an active member of the local North Carolina State alumni association (and tailgater!), and helps in the community at church and at school as often as she can. In short, she is as busy as women get -- family, business and social obligations. But that didn't stop her from making a firm decision to get healthy again, and she did it in no time flat!

Within 10-12 weeks of beginning her sessions with The Body Sculptress she was down to 10% body fat. As an carbo-type ectomorph, that level of body fat is a natural for her, one that she is healthy and vibrant at. However, it took many weeks of coaching for the young mother to decide to try and give up her DQ "moo"lattes and cheeseburgers and fries. Once she learned the caloric burn of exercise vs the calories of the food she was eating, she understood the necessity of trying to cut back a bit to see what happened.

In addition, Teri is one of The Body Sculptress' many "Fit and Fabulous" clients. While she exercised twice a week with Angela, Teri enjoyed having 6 body sculpting meals a day brought to her home over many months. She says that made all the difference. "I lost 4 pounds with the first week of food. It was amazing!" Through her experience with the meals, she learned about portions, how benefical frequency is and was satisfied with whole foods. She also learned that she was able to incorporate real chocolates and puddings and other goodies into a meal plan, and still lose weight. She never felt deprived and wondered aloud at first if she was eating too much food, but as the pounds kept falling off, even over the holidays, she realized she was on track to getting her dream body back again.

Angela and Teri initially worked on getting her into her "goal jeans" for a Las Vegas business trip that she and Pat attended in November--about 3 months after beginning her program. She made it. Her junior hip-hugger jeans fit her tiny little tushy and thin thighs perfectly, and she was looking forward to actually wearing a bikini again! While in Las Vegas, the people who saw her one year earlier couldn't believe how great she looked, let alone that she had a 16 week old infant at home! She looked like she was a 20-something coed!

How else has the exercise benefitted her? Within about 8 weeks of beginning her program she and Angela decided to run together to increase her fat-burning potential. She was amazed to find out that the home program Angela had put her through left her perfectly conditioned to easily run 3 miles--right out of the gate. She and her husband Pat used to run before the children came, but she hadn't run in ages. She was completely amazed to find out that she could, and that she was actually pushing Angela! She felt so strong!

In addition, she realized that this was the only baby she wasn't exhausted with. Her previous babies had left her exhausted and needing naps each day. She has more energy now, even with many sleepless nights, than she can ever remember having since the children came along. And she enjoys her husband's company so much more fully now. She has more energy for him after a long day with the children and the two of them are running 5Ks and 10Ks together on most weekends. "It's like our date time. We really bond through that."

Don't think that this is easy for her! Obesity is rampant in her family. She isn't thin because of her genes. Like the rest of us, she has to work on it. The key to her success is determination and diligence. She tries to exercise on most days of the week. She works with Angela for strength and sculpting 2 days a week and tries to run 2-6 miles another 2-3 days a week. She says she had no idea how many little decisions it took each day to have a successful health-and-weight-maintenance program, but gets plenty of satisfaction out of her 30-60 minute programs each day.

Prior to hiring The Body Sculptress, Teri had 2 trainers. Each were since the birth of her 1st child, Graham, but neither was a totally satisfactory situation. A male trainer had her lifting heavy weights all the time, and although the next female trainer incorporated cardio bursts into her program for a more thinning outcome, she was still in the gym and was having to wrestle with being called into the childcare area when her children acted up. She remembers that she was interrupted quite a bit. The difference today is that The Body Sculptress more fully realizes that she wants to look thin and feminine, not bulky, and that the extremely challenging home program never suffers because of the children. In fact, when the baby sitter isn't there, Angela helps distract the children so that she can exercise. Angela doubled as a baby sitter.

When Teri first started with Angela she commented a few times about the thin women that she always saw when she dropped her children off to school in the morning. Last week when Angela asked her if she still envied them she said, "I'm thinner than they are now!" Life is good, and with one-to-two inches to go, Angela plans to help Teri look better than she ever dreamed possible over the next couple of months -- even better than in college as she begins to help her develop her 6-pack abs!
